I like being creative. Design is one of those fields where if you get the right job, you are constantly being creative and employing technical and artistic skills to solve interesting problems.
And I love problem solving. I like picking things apart and figuring out how they're done. I like tackling problems that challenge me to step up what I do. Learning little software and workflow tricks really keeps me interested.
